At the same time, it carries a high import value of fruit and vegetables (mainly directions: Spain, Italy). The increasing production volume and the sustained high level of international trade increase the importance of proper organization in the circulation of fresh fruit and vegetables, both within the country and internationally. Both Poland and Lithuania have a high share in the import of fresh goods, including from Italy, while Italy is the second largest export in the EU after Spain.
