Our Key Action 2 project is developed to bring the results of vocational training in catering to the needs of the labor market within 24 months. The main objective will be realized when we reach the following specific objectives:
- improving the quality and efficiency of vocational education in the catering and tourism industry,
- developing new approaches to improve the competence already practicing teachers and providing them with all the expertise and skills necessary to provide high quality services,
- increasing access and promoting generated in Europe, open educational resources,
increasing social mission for the promotion of vocational education with the needs of employers.

2019/10/15
European Vocational Skills Week 2019
“Competence development – good practices forum” meeting took place. It aimed to promote and disseminate good practices of projects in the field of vocational education under the Erasmus + program. The purpose of the event was also to discuss the expectations of entrepreneurs regarding the attitudes and qualifications of vocational school students and to present schools’ experience in the field of cooperation with entrepreneurs. Participants were: school representatives and local entrepreneurs. During the meeting, a discussion panel was taken, during which participants exchange experiences, comments and insights in the field of practical learning of the profession. The meeting also allow to exchange of good practices. The seminar took place at the Academic Incubator of Entrepreneurship of the Bialystok University of Technology.
During the meeting we had a possibility to share project outcomes with 12 vocational schools and 9 entrepreneurs from Podlaskie region.
The organizer of the event is Regional Competence Center Foundation.

2019/10/09
The implementation of the project is coming to an end, and therefore on 08/10/2019 the last international partner meeting took place in Daugavpils. The main issues raised during the meeting were: a summary of the activities implementing and disseminating the project results, discussing budget issues and preparing content for the final report.
We thank the Partners and all parties involved in the implementation of the project and we look forward to continuing cooperation in subsequent projects.

Daugavpils Tirdzniecibas profesionala vidusskola prepared a dissemination video, presented project outcomes and showing main project assumptions. Video is presented during schools open doors and in school corridor on public tv.

Dissemination activities in Gracja Restaurant! On July Gracja Restaurant owner, who was one of the project participant, invited sixteen Italian students to her facilities to cook together meals from training in Spain. It was a great opportunity for Italian students who love cooking, but also a great occasion to disseminate project outcomes.

2019/07/02
On 2nd of July, CSHM with the help of Safrina company (an ecological saffron producers) organised a conference, as a part of planned dissemination activities within the GATIS project.
CSHM invited company's representatives, food bloggers and international students, working in tourism or gastronomy sector.
During the conference, CSHM presented project outcomes and prepared ecological meals to give opportunity to taste for invited guests.

2019/06/24
Within disemination activities, Gastronomy school from Bielsk Podlaski, organised culinary classes for invited guests. All meals were prepared according Spanish recipes, which teachers learnt during training in Valencia on January 2019. Previously, teachers instructed students about techniques and methods of ecological cooking.
It is a success story of our project! We are very glad to communicate for our visitors that project outcomes find a place in real life. This is what we plan to achieve.

Fifth Transnational Project Meeting within "GaTIS-Innovative Solutions in Tourism and Gastronomy" took place on 15th May 2019 in CSHM in Valencia. The meeting was attended by representatives of Perfect Project Sp. z o.o., Daugavpils Tirdzniecibas profesionala vidusskola and host of the meeting - Centro Superior De Hostelería Del Mediterraneo. The main aspects discussed during the meeting were: dissemination and implementation of project products into practice and ensuring their sustainability – presentation of good practices, administrative issues and preparation of the minutes of the meeting.

From 02/04 to 03/04/2019 in the Complex of Gastronomic Schools in Bialystok, the Gastronomic Tournament was held, the main theme of the competition was "MAGIC FLAVORS". During the meeting, the participants of the "GaTIS-Innovative Solutions in Tourism and Gastronomy", presented project outcomes and described its idea. Within invited guests were: entrepreneurs, students of Bialystok schools,

On March, 25 in the Perfect Project facilities we host teacher and eight students of Klaipėdos paslaugų ir verslo mokykla. During the meeting, project coordinator presented project outcomes, photos and videos from training in Valencia. We invite to read report, which is uploaded on project website. Students and teacher react enthusiastically and they confirmed they will spread project knowledge in Klaipeda.

2019/01/28
Training in Valencia succesfully finished! Wthin 21 and 25 January this year, 18 participants took part in training in Valencia in Centro Superior De Hostelería Del Mediterraneo facilities. Training was divided into two parts: theoretical and practical and was conducted by proffesional cookers and chefs. From Perfect Project there were:
- three vocational teachers from Zespół Szkół Gastronomicznych in Bialystok,
- three vocational teachers from Zespół Szkół nr 4 im. Ziemi Podlaskiej in Bielsk Podlaski,
- three vocational teachers from Zespół Szkół Rolniczych im. mjr Henryka Dobrzańskiego-Hubala in Sokolka,
- representative of Gracja Restaurant in Bialystok,
- representative of Hokus Pokus Restaurant in Bialystok,
- representative of Pieprz i Wanilia Restaurant in Bialystok.

A substantive meeting took place between project participants (9 teachers and 3 entrepreneurs) and project partners: Daugavpils Tirdzniecibas profesionala vidusskola, Centro Superior De Hostelería Del Mediterraneo and leader - Perfect Project in the Gastronomic Schools Complex in Bialystok.
Regarding the implementation of the "GaTIS-Innovative Solutions in Tourism and Gastronomy" project implemented by Perfect Project participants discussed and explained during the meeting:
- report the diagnosis O1 of the current situation in each country in the field of vocational education,
- explained of the theoretical (on-line) and practical course program in Valencia – “ECOLOGICAL FOOD IN HOTEL GASTRONOMY AS A METHOD OF DIVERSIFICATION OF TOURIST HOTEL PRODUCT"
- presented each of the project partners,
- discussed about organizational matters related to the organization of the course in Valencia.

In June we continue dissemination activities, but in this month we reached companies working in catering and hotel industry. We meet with:

Main topic was eco food in menu of catering and hotel industry on an example companies from Poland - is restuarants, hotels using eco food? How often, when, why? Examples. Good and bad practices on an example of real companies.

In May 2018, Perfect Project Team focused on dissemination activities within the Podlaskie region school and Latvian school. We meet with students and teachers from gastronomy sector and we discussed about eco food in vocational school curricula on an example school from Poland and Latvia. The question was also is there eco food in school programs and is school teaching using eco food challenges (examples, profesions). We talked about project assumptions, how they, as a vocational schools, can use project results and how they can contribute project outputs. Schools were really interested and had positive attitude toward project.

Second Transnational Project Meeting within "GaTIS-Innovative Solutions in Tourism and Gastronomy" took place on 25th April 2018 in CSHM in Valencia. On April 12, 2018 in the Major Henryk Dobrzański-Hubal Agricultural School in Sokółka there was a meeting of two consortium schools as part of the GaTIS-Innovative Solutions in Tourism and Gastronomy. The meeting was attended by: Director and teachers of vocational subjects of the Agricultural School in Sokółka, vocational school teacher Daugavpils Tirdzniecibas profesionala vidusskola and project coordinator. During the visit, the participants exchanged experiences in the field of vocational education in the area of nutrition and hospitality, which is the field of the project and participated in practical classes, which culminated in the joint consumption of prepared regional dishes.

Latvian team participants in the frames of the Erasmus+ KA2 project have visited a country house „Upenīte” in Aglona, Daugavpils district. This is a biologically certified farm, that produce dairy products (including cheese), vegetables, meat and eggs.

A farm hostess Inese has kindly shared experience concerning ecological food production, its pluses and minuses, has given some local recipes.

GATiS consortium is a partnership whose aim is to present perspectives for the development of organic nutrition in gastronomic facilities in hotels as a method of tourist hotel product diversification. In the partnership, we would like to try to answer the question: what obstacles do schools, hoteliers and restaurateurs want to introduce this type of food into the curricula and menu of their institutions? Healthy food is the future of gastronomy. The Polish, Spanish and Latvian catering market is moving towards healthy and organic food. People have an increasing awareness in this area. On the above markest there are more and more organic food producers operating on the market, for example, farms specializing in products traditionally produced products characteristic for a given region. At the same time, people are living faster and faster. Together with partners, we would like to look at the problem of how the catering industry can become more and more competitive thanks to organic products, such as healthy fast food. There are no elements of organic cuisine respecting regional products in the teaching programs in catering and related events. Therefore, students have a chance to get to know it only in additional initiatives undertaken by schools. Gastronomic modernity also consists in restoring forgotten and displaced products to menus.
