Final of the 2nd Gastronomy Competition at the Catering School Complex in Białystok

At the Catering School Complex in Białystok on March 11, 2024 the final of the 2nd Gastronomic Competition took place. The honorary patronage of the event was once again assumed by the Mayor of Białystok, Mr. Tadeusz Truskolaski, who opened the competition. Substantive patronage was provided by:

  • European Chefs Association Euro-Toques Polska – in the culinary category
  • Regiment Restaurant – in the waiter category
  • Artistic Confectionery “Słodka Dama” and Confectionery Kinga – in the confectionery category

The competition was held in three categories: culinary, confectionery and waitressing. Chefs and confectioners used Korycin cheese and regional and traditional products in their dishes, i.e. main courses and appetizers. The waiters made table settings, a non-alcoholic cocktail and demonstrated how to open wine.

  • Zespół Szkół Zawodowych i Ogólnokształcących – Mońki

The jurors in the competition were chefs, managers and confectioners.

Our company had the pleasure of providing organizational support to our foreign partners who participated in this competition, i.e. LPO Elisa Lemonnier from France and Kėdainių profesinio rengimo centrums from Lithuania. Students from both schools did extremely well, winning first (LPO Elisa Lemonnier) and third (Kedainiu profesinio rengimo centrum) places in the confectionery category and third (Kedainiu profesinio rengimo centrum) places in the waiter’s category. Thanks to their participation in the competition, they gained extensive experience and new skills.

The special guest was Mr. Mikołaj Rej, participant of the 1st edition of MasterChef, cooking enthusiast, television personality, author of culinary programs.

The competition ended with the presentation of awards and a banquet prepared by students and teachers of our school.
