The first calls in Intelligent Development Programme

The first calls for proposals in Intelligent Development Programme 2014-2020 has already been announced and are directed to small and medium-sized enterprises.

Call for proposals for funding will last from 4 May to 31 December 2015. According to the schedule for 2015 is planned competitions as part of the twelve instruments inside the programme (action / sub). The indicative amount for calls for proposals in 2015 is nearly 5.06 billion PLN.

The first competition will apply to sub 1.1.1 Industrial research and development work carried out by the company, within the first priority of programme for support conducting R & D work by enterprises. SMEs will be able to obtain support for the implementation of industrial research and / or experimental development activities, to develop new or significantly improved solutions and to achieve readiness to commercialize them. The budget of the competition will be 1.6 billion PLN. It is organized by the National Centre for Research and Development.

The next two competitions in 2015 include the following program: 1.1 R & D Projects enterprises and 1.2 Sectoral R & D programs. 1.1.2 As part of the R & D work may subsidize activities to produce a pilot instalation / demonstration. This is an opportunity for companies that wish to obtain financing primarily for development work to create a pilot installation / demonstration and test it in conditions similar to real and operational environment. The call for applications will begin May 7 and will continue until 22 June 2015. The amount allocated for this contest is as many as 1 600 million PLN. The third competition announced on April 16, will be held under the sectoral program – INNOLOT. As part of this program there will be funded research and development on innovative solutions for the aerospace industry. The call for proposals will begin on May 18 and will last until 17 July 2015. The amount allocated for this contest is 400 million PLN.

Subsequent contests will be announced successively in the following months, in accordance with the agreed schedule under Measure 2.1 Support for investment in R & D infrastructure companies 2.3 Pro-innovative services for enterprises, 3.1 Financing the innovative activities of SMEs with risk capital, 3.2 Support for implementation of results of R & R 4.1 Research and development 4.2 Development of modern science sector research infrastructure.

Budget of programme is 10.2 billion euros, including 8.61 billion from cohesion policy funds. Its most important objective is funding research and development projects carried out by entrepreneurs – individually or in cooperation with the science sector – and to implement their results to the market. The program will help to successful transforming the ideas into innovative products, services and technologies, which go “from Idea to Industry”. With its funds the programme will also support entrepreneurs who want to develop their business beyond the borders of Poliand and using the services of business environment institutions. Part of the funds will be used to improve the position of Polish science on the international stage. The project will be financed mainly suited to the so-called “Smart specializations”, ie. the selected field of economy and science, representing the development potential of the country and regions.
