Opportunities for young entrepreneurs and activisation of young unemployed

Young people in the current programming period will be given a priority. In the framework of the EU program Eastern Poland there will be funded lots of activities enabling the creation and development of start-ups, i.e. start-ups based on an innovative ideas. For assistance offered to young people up to 35 years old, mostly graduates or students of the last years of study, i.e. young, creative people who want to transform an idea into an innovative business. At the outset, a person with an innovative idea will receive individual consulting support including, inter alia concept testing and verification of the market, industry mentoring (individual and group mentoring sessions) and coaching (eg. business, marketing, financial and technological). Start-upers will be able to benefit from specialized business services, marketing and technology. Thanks to them they will refine the idea, prepare the product ready to enter the market and create a viable business model. In the last stage, the entrepreneur will be able to apply for a non-repayable grant, which allows to enter the market and start functioning on it. In turn, the District Labour Offices can now apply for funding under the Knowledge Education Development Programme 2014-2020 (PO WER), under which appropriations are allocated to raising the professional activity of the unemployed aged 18-29 years registered in the Labour Offices. Calls for proposals were so far anounced only in the Mazowieckie and Świętokrzyskie, but as promised, soon next provinces will join tchem – including the Podlasie. Projects, which can count on funding under the PO WER, is primarily internships, training and other forms of continuing education that will help young people to find work placements. It’s about gaining the necessary experience or acquire new ones – according to the needs of employers. Will be considered the offer that guarantee employment under an employment contract for at least three months or civil law contract, also for a minimum of three months. At the same time the average monthly salary can not be less than the minimum wage and must consider health and insurance premiums. The projects will also receive funds to start their own business.
